Early morning drive to Sedona, known for its red sandstone formations. Stop to visit Montezuma Castle, site of 12th and 13th century Native American cliff dwellings. Afterward, arrive in Sedona with time to explore the town and have lunch on your own. Drive through winding Oak Creek Canyon on the way to Grand Canyon National Park, carved over millions of years by the Colorado River. Check into your hotel with free time before dinner tonight. Tuesday - Grand Canyon National Park
Explore the South Rim of the Grand Canyon with its unrivaled views and beauty. Almost 280 miles long, the Grand Canyon varies in width from one to eighteen miles, with the Colorado River winding below. As you depart the canyon, stop at the Desert Viewpoint to see the exceptional views. Later, visit historic Cameron Trading Post, before continuing to Page, in the Lake Powell region. Today, discover the untamed beauty of Capitol Reef National Park with its striking rock formations, canyons and Native American petroglyphs. This morning, spend more time exploring Bryce Canyon. Following lunch, make your way to the wonderland of Zion National Park. Keep your eyes peeled and you might be lucky enough to see a few. Highlights also include the famous trio of peaks known as the Three Patriarchs.
